August 30, 2007 - Washington, DC UniSpec awarded Prime
contract to support Commerce Census to support Commodity Flow Survey
publication – Washington, DC
UniSpec will provide expert management consulting services for the collection, review, and quality assurance of freight transportation characteristics necessary for the production and publication of the Commodity Flow Survey (CFS). The CFS is a component of the Economic Census and is conducted in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics, Research and Innovative Technology Administration. The CFS provides the only comprehensive source of key freight transportation measures of what, where, and how goods are moving in U.S. economy across all modes of transportation.
June 15, 2007 - Washington, DC UniSpec awarded $2.5M Prime
IDIQ contract from the Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)
OCIO providing Certification and Accreditation services
UniSpec is pleased to announce that IDIQ contract worth $2.5 M if all options are exercised. UniSpec served as Certification Agent for a Certification and Accreditation (C&A) project for all BIS business applications. UniSpec will be performing analysis and review, conducting interviews with BIS personnel, and preparing all deliverables in accordance with FISMA, NIST, and DOC guidance. UniSpec manages the efforts for completing a detailed inventory of all systems and system components, detailed review of BIS Enterprise Security Architecture for both high and moderate systems at Commerce, conducting a comprehensive risk assessment, conducting the system test and evaluation (ST&E), and reviewing and updating disaster recovery, continuity of operations, and risk management plans.
March 15, 2007 - Washington, DC UniSpec awarded subcontract to
support the HUD Chief Information Security Officer to develop Certification and
Accreditation packages
UniSpec was awarded a subcontract from Lockheed Martin
to support the HUD Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to develop
Certification and Accreditation packages for Microsoft Exchange. UniSpec
began the project with an initial assessment of HUD’s existing material.
UniSpec performed and facilitated all steps necessary to ensure HUD received a
Full Authorization to Operate (FATO). Due to the exceptional quality of
UniSpec’s work, HUD received an “A+” FISMA rating.
November 30, 2006 - Washington, DC UniSpec awarded contract to perform HSPD-12
Cybersecurity Consulting for NASA HITSS
UniSpec was awarded a subcontract to support the
CIO's office at NASA for the new NASA HITSS contractor InDyne. Sotiris
Baxevanis, UniSpec's CTO, is quoted, "This is a step in the right direction to
solidify UniSpec as a premier IT security services firm." HSPD-12 which is
the Homeland Security Presidential Directive enables "Secure and reliable
forms of identification" for purposes of this directive means identification
that (a) is issued based on sound criteria for verifying an individual
employee's identity; (b) is strongly resistant to identity fraud, tampering,
counterfeiting, and terrorist exploitation; (c) can be rapidly authenticated
electronically; and (d) is issued only by providers whose reliability has
been established by an official accreditation process. The Standard includes
graduated criteria, from least secure to most secure, to ensure flexibility
in selecting the appropriate level of security for each application.
May 6, 2006 - Washington, DC UniSpec part of the Lockheed Martin DHS EAGLE award Functional
Area 2 also provides critical solution concept and development for several
white papers
UniSpec is playing a critical role in solution concept and development for
the number 1 Federal IT services provider, Lockheed Martin IT. UniSpec
supported the prime throughout the process and provided unique technical
input to the solution. "This is an exciting vehicle to provide our services
to Homeland Security", says Sotiris Baxevanis, UniSpec CTO. "This dovetails
well with our security products and offerings".
March 1, 2006 - Washington, DC UniSpec names renowned Sotiris Baxevanis as corporate Chief
Technology Officer
UniSpec is pleased announce that Sotiris Baxevanis will be the corporate
CTO. "Sotiris is a visionary in the IT Security space", says Wesley McClure,
II UniSpec CEO. "This also continues to demonstrate our passionate
commitment to introducing low risk and highly innovative emerging
Cybersecurity services and technologies to our clients; we welcome Sotiris
to the team". Sotiris holds numerous security certifications and has held
several national positions in the IT Security space. Some of his
certifications include, CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISSAP, ISSMP, GAWN-C, NSA-IAM,
NSA-IEM, and GSNA. Mr. Baxevanis also holds numerous certifications in IT
Security & Auditing from ISC2, ISACA, the National Security Agency, & SANS.
He is also a member of the DC InfraGard chapter, National Capitol Area ISACA
chapter and Northern Virginia ISSA chapter where is also serving as the

December 9, 2005 – Washington, DC UniSpec featured as
panelist at the 10th Annual NASA Mentor Protégé Conference
UniSpec was featured as guest speaker with its Mentor, LESCO, at
the 10th Annual NASA Mentor Protégé Conference. LESCO and UniSpec were
featured to discuss best practices and successes as NASA approved Mentor and
Protégé. Other panelists included Ken Bajaj of SystemsNET, Bob Frey and Dr.
Terry Tarbell of RSIS, and Kevin Howard of Boeing IT Services. The event was
held at the Crown Hamilton Hotel with over 300 in attendance.
September 14, 2005 – Richmond, VA UniSpec provides high-end Gap Analysis
work for the Federal Reserve in Enterprise Architecture and Management
UniSpec provides an Enterprise Gap Analysis and Roadmap for the
Federal Reserve IT Infrastructure. The Gap Analysis covered mission-critical
fault and configuration monitoring and management techniques for some of the
Fed’s upcoming strategic initiatives. The work involved a Quantitative
Analysis of best of breed management systems such as Micromuse NetCool,
InfoVista, and SMARTS InCharge. The Fed needed to ensure availability and
chargeback for emerging auction and retail products from its Manhattan
office.
June 24, 2005 - Washington, DC UniSpec awarded subcontract to support the NASA
Chief Security Office to develop FISMA-based Cyber security Plans
UniSpec provided high-end, strategic consulting to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of NASA.
UniSpec is providing NIST and FISMA-compliant guidelines for the security certification and
accreditation of information systems supporting NASA enterprise-wide. This consists of the
development of 13 Master Plans that will dictate the Security Policies and Procedures NASA
wide. UniSpec leverages its qEA services to develop the C&A processes throughout the program,
for all the NIST compliant respected phases, the Initiation Phase, Security Certification Phase,
Security Accreditation Phase, and Continuous Monitoring Phase.
March 15, 2005 - Washington, DC UniSpec awarded subcontract to support NASA's
"Return to Safe Space Flight" Campaign
UniSpec is a major subcontractor to LESCO on the NASA Operational Support Services (OSS)
contract. In that role, UniSpec is performing work for national and international publication,
graphics, and branding support through the Printing and Design office. The work is instrumental
to NASA's continuous marketing and branding campaign to universities, industry, and the science
community. The program also includes support of other administrative services such as mail
handling, move services, and editor support.
January 15, 2005 - Pasadena, CA UniSpec awarded prime consulting contract through
JPL CIOs Office performing Enterprise Architecture-Operational Risk
UniSpec was awarded work a result of the "Emerging Adaptive Methodologies in Analyzing
Operational Risk". UniSpec performed high level Gap analysis work for the NASA JPL DNS
contract. The work involved analysis of network and help desk operations as well as
developing strategies for optimization and consolidation. UniSpec leveraged its qEA
(Quantitative Enterprise Analysis) product to extract and frame the data. The information
was used as a supplement to dictate strategic vision of JPL's operations contracts.
October 30, 2004 - Pasadena, CA UniSpec selected as 6 out of 160 firms to speak
at JPL High Technology Science Forum
UniSpec was chosen as 6 out of 160 firms to speak at the NASA/JPL 2004 High-Tech Science
Forum. UniSpec's speaking topic and white paper was "Emerging Adaptive Methodologies in
Analyzing Operational Risk". The High Technology conference presenters covered such topics
as Advanced Robotics, Emerging Polymer techniques, and Spacecraft Manufacturing engineering.
As an Enterprise Architecture and Risk company, UniSpec was able to provide the agency with
bleeding techniques to mitigate risks to NASA Space Missions. UniSpec executives and principals
are recognized as industry leading experts in Enterprise Architecture and Risk Management.
The presentation was featured on NASA TV and was delivered before the NASA Mission Support
community with over 2000 in attendance.
September 24, 2004 - Washington, DC UniSpec receives SBA 8(a) certification
UniSpec Enterprises, Inc. (http://www.unispec1.com) was certified by the Small Business
Administration as an 8(a) company. The certification recognizes UniSpec as a certified
small business, small and disadvantaged business and financially sound business through
September 2013.
May 30, 2004 - Jackson, Tennessee UniSpec begins buildout in the companies state-of-art Call Center at the Center for Entrepreneurial Growth and Technology Innovation (CEGTI)
UniSpec, Inc. (www.unispec1.com), the enterprise architecture, IT outsourcing, and government
solutions company, announced today that it would build a state-of-the-art Mobile Management
Operations Center (M 2 MOC). The Call Center will be built in a CEGTI incubator at Lane
College in Jackson, Tennessee. The Call Center will be located in a HUBZone and hopes to
generate over 25 jobs by June 2005. UniSpec's CEO, Wesley McClure, II states, "Being an
incubated company within the CEGTI and being collocated on a College campus offsets facilities
and G&A costs to our company. Our 5 year lease allows us to 1) focus on build premier
outsourcing products and services and 2) leverage Computer Science juniors' and seniors'
talents in our M 2 MOC. We have raised and invested the necessary capital to complete the
software prototype by years end and look forward to providing services early next year." CEGTI's
facility plans to be completed by Summer 2005.
April 30, 2004 - Jackson, TN UniSpec Accelerates Growth with $1.7M win from Department of Commerce
UniSpec, Inc. (www.unispec1.com), the enterprise architecture and IT outsourcing government

February 16, 2004 - Arlington, VA UniSpec selected to serve as experts at NSF and DHS SBIR panels as management consultant experts in enterprise architecture and IT services.
UniSpec's executive management team provided guidance in the area of electro optics and
control for the National Science Foundation's Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR)
program. UniSpec executive management also participated in panels for the Department of
Homeland Security and non-profit organizations. UniSpec's Chief Financial Officer, Carter
McClure, M.B.A, states, "We are pleased to continue to receive national recognition as a
niche, emerging high-end small business. As a business in our first year, we have seen
strong demand and revenue growth in our 3 rd quarter of business. We expect to break the

September, 18 2003 - Mitchellville, MD UniSpec wins enterprise management software development contract with Worldcom
UniSpec, Inc. (www.unispec1.com), the enterprise architecture and IT outsourcing
government solutions company, announced today that it won a contract to provided high-end
management consulting services to the WorldCom Satellite Control Center in McLean, VA. The
work will entail the development and optimization of several facets of their worldwide
solution for the FAA's Telecommunications Satellite program. UniSpec's expertise has provided
support services for this operation for years. Richard Garabedian from WorldCom states, "It is
